Ten Panthers, Two Relays Punch Ticket to State Track and Field
The Concordia boys and girls track and field teams traveled to Buhler on Thursday, May 21st, trying to clinch a trip to the largest high school track and field meet in the country, the 2026 Kansas State Championship Meet held in Wichita on May 29th and 30th. Ten individual athletes and two relay teams are state-bound from Concordia!
To claim a spot in the State Championship, the Panther individual athletes needed to finish in the top three in their event at their regional. Then, with four different regionals, they take the next best 6 times/jumps/marks out of all the regionals. This means that 18 different athletes will be able to compete at State in each event, the 12 auto qualifiers and the 6 at-large qualifiers. Below are the four regional sites:
