The Concordia Blues snatched the lead late in the game to grab a 10-4 victory over Beloit Wednesday, July 20th, capturing the 2022 American Legion Zone AA 3 Tournament Championship.  The Blues now have qualified to compete in the Senior AA State Championship Tournament in Topeka scheduled for July 27th through July 31st.

Trailing 2-1 in the sixth, Concordia's Ashton Dooley singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs to put the Blues out in front.  Concordia put the game away with seven runs in the sixth inning.  Stryker Hake tripled, Payton Breese doubled, and Braeden Primeaux recorded a single in the inning.

Hake earned the win on the mound for Concordia.  The lefthander pitched 5 innings, allowing two runs on two hits and striking out three.  Nathan Brown threw two innings in relief action.

Logan Arasmith suffered the loss for Beloit.  Arasmith lasted 5 1/3 innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out four.

The Concordia Blues scattered 12 hits in the game.  Hake, Keegun Beims, and Breese all collected multiple hits for Concordia Blues.  Beims and Hake each managed three hits in the game.

Beloit racked up four hits in the contest.
