Select Group of Cloud County Track & Field Athletes Take Part in Coach Wilson Invitational

The Cloud County Community College men's and women's track and field programs sent throwers, two distance runners, and a pole vaulter to the Coach Herm Wilson Invitational hosted by Wichita State University on Friday, January 31 and Saturday, February 1.

Sophomore Jaren Aurand took home a 12th place finish in the men's weight throw with a distance of 43'5.25". Freshman Timothy Asa Berry followed in 13th place with a throw of 41'7". Freshman Jarrell Yardin was 25th overall with a distance of 36'3".

Aurand also posted a 21st-place finish in the men's shot put with a mark of 37'5.25".

Sophomores Vivica Addison and Margherita Sala both competed in the women's weight throw. Addison took 16th place with a distance of 41'3.75". Sala finished 19th with a distance of 38'8.25".

Addison also competed in the women's shot put, finishing 17th individually at 33'6.5".

Freshman Jordan Settles took home a 19th-place finish in the men's pole vault at a height of 11'4.5".

Freshman Cody Sharp posted a 17th-place finish in the men's 3,000M Run in a time of 10:03.39.

The T-Birds next will travel to Lincoln, Nebraska for the 49th Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational February 7-8 at the Bob Devaney Sports Center.
