Cloud County Community College sophomore Nontokozo Ncube broke her own school record in the 800M and the T-Birds women's indoor track and field team had another great showing in the 49th Frank Sevigne Husker Invitational in Lincoln, Nebraska on February 7-8.

Nucbe once again found herself rewriting the Cloud County record books by establishing a new school record in the Women's 800M, winning the event in a time of 2:10.58. Ncube resets her own 800M school record mark, which she previously established at the NAIA/Juco Challenge in Pittsburg, Kansas on January 25, running a national qualifying time of 2:10.80.

Ncube was also part of the Cloud County 4x400M Relay team which came close to setting a new school record by taking first overall in a national qualifying time of 3:44.77. The team also included freshman Nanhi Pannu, freshman Maimuna Jallow, and sophomore Rafiatu Nuhu and their time was just six-tenths of a second off the school record in the event.

Jallow and Nuhu both added second-place individual finishes on the weekend. Jallow placed second in the Women's 200M Dash at 23.77. Nuhu took second in the Women's 400M Dash at 54.72.

The Cloud County distance crew was led by sophomore N Vanee Anchike who placed third in the Women's 5,000M Run with a national qualifying time of 17:24.24.

Anchike also qualified for nationals in the Women's 600M Run, placing third with a time of 1:35.03. Anchike now has six national qualifying marks on the year.

Sophomore Mercy Angaamchaab and freshman Amanda Kotambe joined Anchike in the Women's 600M Run, with Angaamchaab finishing fifth overall with a national qualifying time of 1:36.09 and Kotambe taking eighth place with a national qualifying time of 1:37.98.
