KJCCC Women's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week - Week 4

For the second straight week, Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Women’s Indoor Track and Field Athlete of the Week honors have been earned by Cloud County and Cowley athletes with T-Bird sophomore Rafiatu Nuhu and Tiger sophomore Dakota Dapper each becoming the second student-athlete from their school to pick up the award this season.
Rafiatu Nuhu (Cloud County) – KJCCC Women’s Indoor Track Athlete of the Week
Rafiatu Nuhu ran her first-ever 800 meters in a time of 2:14.70 to add to her incredible range. The sophomore has now ran NJCAA National Qualifying Times in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 600 meters, and 800 meters, and has been a member of two relay national qualifying times (4x400 relay, Distance Medley Relay) with all four of her individual times ranking in the top six of the NJCAA this season.
Dakota Dapper (Cowley) – KJCCC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Week
Dapper set a new personal best in the pole vault at the Wichita State University Coach Wilson Invitational with a mark of 3.67 meters (12 ft. - 0.25 in.) to take third overall in the event behind only a pair of Wichita State University athletes. The mark is the second-best in the NJCAA this season and third-best in Cowley history.
