Jackson and Farha End Season at State Golf

Grayson Farha and Logan Jackson represented Concordia High School at the 2026 KHSAA 4A Boys State Tournament held at the Hesston Golf Course on Tuesday, May 26th. 12 full teams and 95 total individual golfers took the course on Tuesday morning to try to earn a state medal.

Here is how the state format works for the two-day tournament. Medals are awarded based on the best 36-hole score, with 18 holes being played each day. After the completion of the first 18 holes, the top six team scores and the individuals, not on one of the six teams, who bring the day two field to a total of 54, will qualify for day two. For example, the top six teams comprise 36 golfers. The next 18 golfers on the leaderboard, plus ties, qualify for day two.

The par for the Hesston Golf Course was set at 72 for the varsity golfers to compete in the 18-hole tournament on day one. Logan Jackson and Grayson Farha just missed the cut line on day one to get to play in day two. Mason Price of Winfield took the final individual spot after shooting an 80(+8) in round one.

Logan Jackson ended his season tied for 70th place after shooting an 85(+13). Just missing the cut line by 5 strokes.

Grayson Farha ended his season tied for 85th place after shooting a 90(+18).

Ethan Small from Independence shot a -4 on day two to finish tied for the state championship with Regan Kueker from Wamego. Small was tied for 7th after shooting an even 72 on day one. Meanwhile, Reece Roberts from Fort Scott was tied with Kueker for the lead after day one, shooting a -3; he finished tied for 6th, shooting a +3 on day two.
