Concordia Sophomore Charlize Cash Medals at 2024 KSHSAA Class 4A State Track & Field Meet
Concordia High School Sophomore Charlize Cash brought home a medal at the 2024 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A State Track & Field Meet Saturday, May 25th at Cessna Stadium on the campus of Wichita State University.
Cash, making her second career state meet appearance, medaled in the 4A Girls 300M Low Hurdles. After posting a time of 49.51 to place 8th in the preliminaries on Friday, Cash ran a time of 48.14 to medal 5th overall in the finals on Saturday.
Also on the girls side, Freshman Hannah Bridwell and Sophomore Rylie Jessup both competed in the 4A Girls 800M Run. Bridwell posted a time of 2:33.29 to place 10th overall. Jessup finished in 13th place overall, turning in a time of 2:37.48.
Sophomore Kynlee Hamel did not record a height in the 4A Girls High Jump on Friday, failing to make a valid jump at 4'8".
On the boys side, Junior JJ Riley scored a 9th place finish in the 4A Boys Discus on Saturday, recording a toss of 143'5".
Junior Kaide Gropp closed out his season by competing in the 4A Boys 200M Dash preliminaries. Gropp turned in a time of 22.91 Friday to finish in 11th place.
