Concordia High School Track & Field Teams Compete in 2024 NCKL Meet

The Concordia High School Girls and Boys Track and Field teams competed in the 2024 North Central Kansas League Meet in Marysville on Friday, May 10th.

The Panthers girls placed 5th overall with 79 points, while the  Concordia Boys placed 6th with 42 points.

Concordia Sophomore Charlize Cash captured first place finishes in both the Girls 100M Hurdles and the Girls 300M Hurdles.  In the 100M Hurdles, Cash turned in a time of 17.55.  She later posted a time of 47.91 in the Girls 300M Hurdles.

Cash also picked up a 4th place finish in the Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 34'3".  Junior Aubrey Stahlman finished 5th overall in the Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 30'8.5", while Freshman Gabi Lange was 6th in the event with a leap of 30'7.5".

The Concordia Girls 4x100M Relay team posted a first place finish in a time 50.95.

Sophomore Kynlee Hamel scored a 2nd place finish in the Girls High Jump with a leap of 4'10".  Lange also tied for 2nd place in the Girls High Jump with a jump of 4'10".

Hamel recorded a 4th place finish in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 13.39.  Freshman Madalyn Bowers was 5th overall in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 13.64.

Hamel also finished 4th overall in the Girls 200M Dash in a time of 27.50.  Freshman Lillian Nuss was 6th in the Girls 200M Dash in a time of 27.87.

Nuss turned in a 6th place finish in the Girls 400M Dash in a time of 1:01.91.

Freshman Hannah Bridwell notched a 3rd place finish in the Girls 3200M Run in a time of 13:19.79.

Bridwell picked up a 4th place finish in the Girls 800M Run in a time of 2:28.18.

Lange landed a 5th place finish in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 8'6".

Sophomore Rylie Jessup placed 6th overall in the Girls Javelin with a throw of 97'3".

The Concordia Girls 4x400M Relay team scored a 5th place finish in a time of 4:18.87, while the Panthers Girls 4x800M Relay team was 6th overall in a time of 11:14.11.

On the boys side, Junior JJ Riley finished in 1st place in the Boys Discus with a toss of 139'11".  Junior Dane Cleveland was 3rd overall in the Boys Discus with a throw of 124'5".

In the Boys Javelin, Riley placed 6th overall with a throw of 124'10".

Junior Kaide Gropp captured a 2nd place finish in the Boys 200M Dash in a time of 23.13.

Gropp picked up a 3rd place finish in the Boys 100M Dash in a time of 11.60.

Freshman Burke Kindel posted a 3rd place finish in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 11'0".

The Concordia Boys 4x100M Relay team finished in 5th place in a time of 45.60.

The Panthers Boys 4x400M Relay team also placed 5th overall in a time of 3:41.89.

And Freshman Isaias Irigoyen finished 6th overall in the Boys 300M Hurdles in a time of 45.51.

The Concordia High School Girls and Boys Track and Field teams will travel to Scott City to compete in their 2024 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 4A Regional Track and Field Meet on Thursday, May 16th.  Other participating schools include Scott City, Andale, Buhler, Clearwater, Hugoton, McPherson, Pratt and Ulysses.  Field events begin at 1:30 pm, while preliminary races start at 3:30 pm.
