The Concordia High School Girls Tennis team competed in Phillipsburg on Tuesday, September 13th.  It was the first varsity action for the Panthers since they played in a quad hosted by Chapman on Thursday, September 1st.

Concordia's #1 Doubles team, Madelyn Stiles and Zoe Britt, notched a 2nd place finish while the Lady Panthers finished in 4th place as a team.

"Madelyn Stiles and Zoe Britt placed 2nd on the day.  They played with lots of energy and won several matches," CHS Head Girls Tennis Coach John Turner told KNCK Sports.

"Lacie Duvall placed 3rd on the day.  She had some tough competition with Phillipsburg  and Scott Community.  Lacie went 3-8 against Malorie Cupp, a state qualifier from Scott Community.  I feel like she played up to her competition and her game improved today," Coach Turner said.  "Jesika Bisnette at #2 Singles and Kacie Price and Daegan DeGraff at #2 Doubles played some tough matches as well today and continue to show growth and improvement."

The Panthers are back in action on Saturday, September 17th at a tournament hosted by Clay Center.  Other participating schools are Clay Center, Abilene, Beloit, Chapman, Sacred Heart and Wabaunsee.  Matches begin at 9 am.
