The Concordia High School Football team honored its players at a postseason banquet hosted by the Concordia Knights of Columbus Council at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Parish Hall in Concordia on Sunday, November 13th.

The Panthers Varsity Football team completed the season with a 2-7 overall record, losing to the Wichita-Collegiate Spartans in the opening round of the 2022 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 3A State Football Playoffs on October 28th.

Senior Running Back Stryker Hake was named the team's Offensive MVP and the recipient of the Trevor Gennette Memorial Award.  The Trevor Gennette Award is given in memory of Trevor, the all-time leading receiver in CHS history.  The award goes to the most outstanding senior skill player, and the Gennette family has established a scholarship that goes to the winner of the award.

During his senior campaign, Hake carried the ball 105 times for 697-yards and 4 touchdowns.  He also hauled in 5 catches for 70-yards.

Senior Center Michael Ashland was selected as the recipient of the Keith Christensen Offensive Lineman Award.  Christensen is a former Panther who went on to play football at Kansas.  After his career at KU, Christensen was drafted in the fifth round by the New Orleans Saints, and later went on to play for the Edmonton Eskimos.  The award recognizes an outstanding senior offensive lineman or tight end.

Senior Cornerback Alec Francis was chosen as the team's Defensive MVP.  Francis had 41 tackles on the year, including 17 solo stops.

Junior Kicker Caleb Hanson received the Special Teams MVP Award, while Sophomore Running Back and Linebacker Drew Sterrett was named the Scout Team Player of the Year.
