Concordia Girls Wrestling Competes in Junction City

After a tough hard fought dual against #6 Rock Creek on Thursday the Concordia High School girls wrestling team traveled to Junction City on Saturday February 1st for a tournament.

Below are the results of the Lady Panther individuals.

In weight class 100 Taygnn LeDuc's (3-14) place was unknown and scored no team points. LeDuc did not win a match in the tournament.

In weight class 110 Tierney Breault's (5-15) place was unknown and scored no team points. Tierney lost both of her matches.

In weight class 115 Harlin Bannister's (11-15) place was unknown and scored no team points. Bannister did not win a match in the tournament.

In weight class 120 Bridgett Blochlinger (19-7) placed 2nd and scored 20 team points. Blochlinger started out the day with a pin over Meliya Schlegel of Maize in 3:36. In the quarterfinals Blochlinger pinned Avery Stithen of Silver Lake in 1:46. In the semifinal round Blochlinger this time won a close 5-2 decision victory over Kiera Lawton of host Junction City. Finally, in the championship match, #2 Kensley Medrano of Emporia pinned Blochlinger in one minute.

In weight class 130 Airiana Wogomon (17-9) placed 3rd and scored 19.5 team points. Wogomon pinned Della Crile of Wichita Kapaun to start the day in 2:59. In the quarterfinals Wogomon once again won with a pin over McKenna Harris of Silver Lake in a long 4:32 battle. In the semifinals, #2 Isabel Reyes of Shawnee Heights pinned Wogomon in only 14 seconds. Wogomon bounced back in the consolation semifinals with a Tech Fall victory over Bella Andra of Maize outscoring the Eagle 19-2. Finally in the 3rd place match Wogomon pinned Elizabeth Edgerton-Diaz of host Junction City in 1:49.

In weight class 135 Gabi Lange (22-6) placed 2nd and scored 20 team points. In the quarterfinals, Lange pinned Natalie Garcia of Shawnee Mission South in 1:39. In the semifinals Lange again won with a fall this time over Reece Dorsey of Silver Lake in only 57 seconds. Finally, in the championship round #1 Maia Dolinar of Piper pinned Lange in 3:11.

In weight class 155 Jordi Jones's (4-3) place was unknown and scored 3 team points. Jones's one victory came against Panther teammate Jeiza Hernandez with a pin in 4:37. Hernandez did not win a match in this weight class.

In weight class 170 Isabelle Alexander's (7-16) place was unknown and scored no team points. Alexander lost in a tiebreaker to Maddox Butler of Junction City in her closest match.

Finally, in weight class 235 Harley Weathersbee's (11-12) place was unknown and scored 6 team points. Weathersbee pinned Ka'Ori Herring of Junction City in 3:05 for her one victory of the tournament.

Concordia will be back in action on Thursday, February 6th for a NCKL dual at Marysville beginning at 6.
