Concordia Girls Track & Field Team Wins Three Events at Minneapolis Invitational

The Concordia High School Girls Track & Field team recorded a 4th place team finish at the Minneapolis Varsity Invitational on Tuesday, May 2nd.
Concordia Freshman Charlize Cash won two events and finished third in another, while Freshman Kynlee Hamel captured a win in the Girls High Jump.
Hamel jumped 5'2" to place 1st in the High Jump. Junior Jesika Bisnette was 3rd overall in the Girls High Jump with a leap of 4'8".
Cash won the girls 100M Hurdles in a time of 16.62.
Cash also claimed 1st place in the Girls 300M Hurdles in a time of 48.35.
Cash landed a 3rd place finish in the Girls Triple Jump with a leap of 34'4". Senior Jaida Koester placed 4th overall in the Girls Triple Jump with a jump of 33'9".
Hamel recorded a 2nd place finish in the Girls 200M Dash in a time of 27.55.
Hamel also picked up a 3rd place finish in the Girls 100M Dash in a time of 13.26.
The Concordia Girls 4x100M Relay team captured a 3rd place finish in a time of 52.07.
Koester scored a 4th place finish in the Girls Long Jump with a leap of 15'2.5".
Sophomore Keely Kindel posted a 4th place finish in the Girls Pole Vault with a vault of 8'0".
Freshman Rylie Jessup placed 5th overall in the Girls 800M Run in a time of 2:47.11.
The Concordia Boys Track & Field team, meanwhile, notched a 5th place team finish at the Minneapolis Invitational.
Senior Aceyn Cash picked up a 2nd place finish in the Boys High Jump with a leap of 5'8". Senior Alan Garcia was 5th overall in the Boys High Jump with a jump of 5'4".
Senior Torxsten Kindel scored a 3rd place finish in the Boys Long Jump with a jump of 18'2".
Torxsten Kindel also placed 3rd overall in the Boys 110M Hurdles in a time of 17.28. Senior Cole Hobrock was 5th overall in the Boys 110M Hurdles in a time of 17.74.
Senior Bergun Kindel recorded a 3rd place finish in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 11'0". Hobrock was 4th in the Boys Pole Vault with a vault of 10'6".
Junior Cody Trost landed a 3rd place finish in the Boys Triple Jump with a jump of 39'7".
The Concordia Boys 4x100M Relay team ended up in 3rd place overall in a time of 45.51.
The Concordia Boys 4x400M Relay team placed 4th overall in a time of 3:38.96.
Bergun Kindel posted a 4th place finish in the Boys 400M Run in a time of 57.24. Hobrock was 5th overall in the Boys 400M Run in a time of 57.65.
Senior Chayton Alquist-Pennell captured a 5th place finish in the Boys 100M Dash in a time of 11.69.
Senior Michael Ashland turned in a 6th place finish in the Boys Javelin with a toss of 130'6".
The Panthers will host the 2023 North Central Kansas League Meet on Friday, May 12th.
