The Concordia High School Varsity Girls Golf team competed at the Salina South Invitational held at the Salina Country Club on Monday, September 19th.

Junior Brecklynn Bonner led the way for the Lady Panthers with a 123.

"We played Brecklynn Bonner up today as our fifth player on varsity and she did not disappoint.  She came in with a team-leading 123 and earned a spot for Friday's 18-hole tournament hosted by Buhler at Hesston," said CHS Head Girls Golf Coach Gene Rundus.

Panthers Senior Cianna DeLeon shot a 126, while Senior Georgia Trost had a 128.  Junior Emma Herman and Senior Peyton Johnson rounded out the scores for Concordia with a 134 and 143, respectively.

"The course was plenty for us today, but we did have some scores improve on the IN, which is good to see," Rundus shared with KNCK Sports.  "Though we didn't meet some of our goals, nobody gave up and improvement and perseverance on the back nine was good to see."

Concordia will travel to Hesston on Friday, September 22nd, for the meet hosted by the Buhler Crusaders.  Other participating schools are Buhler, Newton, Augusta, Pratt, Pretty Prairie, Circle, Maize, Eisenhower, Andale, McPherson, Campus, Wichita Trinity Academy, Winfield, Cheney, Hays, Nickerson and Clay Center.  Tee-time is slated for 9 am.
