The Concordia High School Baseball team will have to wait one more day.

The 2023 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 3A Nemaha Central Baseball Regional has postponed the tournament's opening round games and semifinal contests to Wednesday, May 17th following recent rains.

Originally scheduled to meet on Monday, May 15th, the No. 4 seed Concordia Panthers (12-8) will open tournament play against the No. 5 seed Rossville Bulldogs (8-12) in the first game of the day at 2 pm Wednesday in Sabetha.

Top-seed Sabetha (16-4) then will square off with No. 8 seed Riley County (1-19) 25-minutes after the conclusion of the first game.

The semifinal contest between the winner of Concordia/Rossville and Sabetha/Riley County will also be played Wednesday in Sabetha.

The tournament championship game has been rescheduled for 2 pm Thursday, May 18th in Seneca.

On the bottom side of the bracket, No. 2 Nemaha Central (12-4) will take on No. 7 seed Minneapolis (2-18) at 2 pm Wednesday in Seneca.  No. 3 Silver Lake (13-5) matches up with No. 6 Marysville (6-12) Wednesday afternoon in Seneca.

The Concordia Panthers concluded the regular season winning eight of their final twelve games, but were swept by the Clay Center Tigers, this year's North Central Kansas League champions, in their final doubleheader on May 9th.

The Rossville Bulldogs sit at 8-12 overall and have lost eight of their last nine, including dropping recent doubleheaders to Wamego, Sabetha and Rock Creek.
