Concordia Baseball Drops Pair to Clay Center on Senior Night

The Concordia High School Baseball team dropped its Senior Night doubleheader, losing two games to the Clay Center Tigers on Tuesday, May 7th.

The Panthers fell in game one 12-0 in seven innings, before falling 12-1 in six innings in game two. 

Senior Braeden Primeaux suffered the loss in game one.  Primeaux pitched five complete innings, allowing seven runs, two earned, off seven hits while striking out six and walking two.  Senior Payton Breese pitched the final two innings, giving up five runs, four earned, on six hits while finishing with three strikeouts and two walks.

Concordia had six hits in the loss, including two each from Primeaux and Senior First Baseman Keegun Beims.

Maddox Frey took the loss in game two.  Frey gave up six earned runs off three hits and permitted six walks while recording one strikeout.  Concordia trailed 9-0 before getting on the board in the bottom of the fifth inning when Primeaux singled to score Frey.

Concordia concludes its regular season at 7-13 overall and 2-8 in North Central Kansas League play.
