Recording multi-hit games in three of four contests this past week, Cloud County Community College Baseball sophomore Kolden Howerton has been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference West Division Baseball Player of the Week.

The three multi-hit games come as part of a four-game series for the T-Birds against Pratt to open KJCCC play with CCC and PCC each taking two games in the series. Recording CCCC's only two hits in game one of the series, Howerton would finish off the series-opening doubleheader with a four-for-five effort that included two RBI and a stolen base. With the series shifting to Pratt the next day, Howerton would lead Cloud County with three hits and three runs in four at-bats while hitting his second home run of the year as part of a four-RBI effort. Drawing a walk as part of a 1-for-2 effort in game four, Howerton would end the weekend with a .714 batting average (10-for-14) with a .733 on-base percentage along with six RBI and four extra-base hits.

Howerton becomes the second T-Bird player to be named KJCCC West Division Player of the Week this season, joining Danny Infante who was named Player of the Week on February 21st.
