Cloud County Wrestlers at Younes Hospitality Open Saturday
A strong contingent of Cloud County Community College wrestlers will head to the 13th annual Younes Hospitality Open on Saturday, November 23. Action begins at 9 am from the Buffalo County Fairgrounds in Kearney, Nebraska.
Over 800 wrestlers are expected to take part with as many as 18 mats (down to 14 after several rounds) in use, making this the largest college tournament in the country. The list includes NCAA Division I and Division II schools, NAIA institutions and junior colleges. The event is open to all post high school wrestlers and there will be "Amateur" and "Elite" brackets.

Cloud County last competed in the Grand View Open in Des Moines, Iowa on November 16. Sophomores Easton Boone and Macallistair Chambers, both competing in the 174 lbs. freshman and sophomore division, each finished 5-2 on the day. Daniel Vines went 3-2 at 141 lbs. Noah Bailey finished 3-2 at 149 lbs. Jacob Vasquez ended up 3-2 at 165 lbs., while Micah Cauthers went 3-2 at 184 lbs. Nolan Bradley at 125 lbs., Roderick Brown at 125 lbs., and Michael Rodrigues at 133 lbs. all earned at least one win in the Grand View Open.
