Cloud County Women's Basketball Returns Home to Take On Bethany College JV
The Cloud County Community College women's basketball team returns home to continue its run through non-conference play this week, taking on Bethany College JV on Wednesday, November 12, at 6 pm inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
The T-Birds (2-1) come back to town after winning both of their games at the 2025 BSN Tip-Off Classic in Hutchinson, Kansas, last weekend. Cloud County started off the tournament by defeating Neosho County Community College by a final score of 97-71, and then handed Northeastern Oklahoma A&M their first loss of the season, 95-74.
The two victories marked the first time Cloud County has scored 90 or more points in back-to-back games since November 2021.
Freshman guard Camiah Muldrow scored 38 points in Cloud County's win over Northeastern Oklahoma A&M on November 8. Muldrow's day was the highest-scoring game for a Cloud County women's basketball player since Jacy Dalinghaus scored 40 points in a 72-70 win over Bethany College JV on November 18, 2019. Muldrow finished the contest 10-of-14 from the field, 1-of-3 from three-point range, and 17-of-20 from the free-throw line in nearly 35 minutes of action.
The native of Fairburn, Georgia, currently leads the T-Birds in scoring at 22.3 points per game on 51.4 percent shooting from the field and a team-best 86.7 percent free-throw percentage. Muldrow is also averaging 5.3 rebounds per game and leads the team at 6.0 assists per contest.
Sophomore transfer Leila Washington is the second leading scorer on the team at 15.3 points per game on a team-best 57.1 percent shooting from the field. Washington is also second on the team at 9.3 rebounds per game.
Sophomore Shea Wurtz and freshman Sofija Todorovic both had back-to-back double-double performances at the BSN Tip-Off Classic. Wurtz is currently averaging 15.0 points per game and a team-best 11.3 rebounds per game, while Todorovic is coming off the bench to provide 13.0 points and 7.7 rebounds per game.
Freshman guard Amanda Makela is also scoring in double-figures at 12.3 points per game to go with 4.7 assists and 1.3 steals per game. Makela leads the team with eight made three-pointers on the year.
Cloud County and Bethany College JV last played each other on November 14, 2024, with the T-Birds picking up a convincing 92-53 home win. Wurtz led four T-Birds in double-figures in the game with 20 points on 10-of-12 shooting to go along with eight rebounds.
