Cloud County Volleyball Season Comes to an End with Sophomore Day Loss to Barton
The Cloud County Community College volleyball team saw its 2024 season come to an end with a 3-0 defeat to No. 9 Barton Community College by the scores of 14-25, 20-25, 13-25 on Saturday, November 2 inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
Prior to the match, sophomores Emery May, Bradie Medina, Ashley Suter and Kloë Waymel were celebrated for their contributions to the program.
Medina led the T-Birds offense with six kills to go along with 10 digs and one block assist. Freshman Grace Rowland had five kills and two block assists. Waymel finished with four kills, four block assists and two digs. May added two kills and one block, while freshman Carlie Carlgren also had two kills and one block.
Defensively, freshman libero Berkleigh Curtis led Cloud County with 13 digs. Suter also registered double-digit digs with 12.
Freshmen setters Savana Krupicka and Maria Clara Lopes Miranda tallied nine assists each. Krupicka added three digs, while Miranda added three service aces.
Cloud County concludes the year at 7-23 overall and 0-16 in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference play.
