The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) released its latest NJCAA Division I Men's Outdoor Track and Field Rating Index on Tuesday, May 6. The Cloud County men's track and field team is ranked No. 16 in the nation.

The T-Birds are coming off a fourth-place finish at the 2025 Region 6/Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships after earning 73 points at the meet held May 1-3 in Coffeyville, Kansas. Hutchinson Community College took home first place with 135 points, followed by Barton Community College with 127 points and Coffeyville Community College with 84 points.

The T-Birds tallied one event win and three runner-up finishes.

In the Men's Javelin Throw, freshman Andrew Bowman finished first overall with a personal-record throw of 203'2". Freshman DJ Holman was fourth in the Men's Javelin Throw with a personal-record throw of 169'1", while freshman Braylon Bittel finished 10th overall with a throw of 140'10".

Sophomore Josh Shelly placed second overall in the Men's Hammer Throw with a throw of 174'9".

Sophomore Andre Smikle captured a second-place finish in the Men's Discus Throw with a throw of 159'11". Bittel placed fifth overall with a throw of 142'4", while freshman Timothy Asa Berry was eighth with a toss of 137'11".

Freshman Bailey Burns recorded a second-place finish in the Men's Long Jump with a jump of 24'6.5".

In other top ten performances, freshman Abdelaziz Benbrahim earned a third-place finish in the Men's 1,500M Run in a time of 3:57.95.

Benbrahim also turned in a seventh-place finish in the Men's 800M Run in a time of 1:55.51.

Benbrahim teamed with freshmen Barafa Abdulazis and Gelasa Abdisa and sophomore Ethan Ochana on the Cloud County Men's 4x800M Relay team that finished in sixth place in a time of 8:00.25.

Ochana captured a seventh-place finish in the Men's 3,000M Steeplechase in a personal-record time of 10:01.39.

Abdulasiz posted an eighth-place finish in the Men's 400M Dash in a time of 48.87.

Abdisa added a tenth-place finish in the Men's 10,000M Run in a time of 33:54.53.

In the Men's High Jump, freshman Mory Diop landed a fourth-place finish at a height of 6'5.5". Sophomore Trey Collins was sixth in the Men's High Jump with a jump of 6'3.5".

Sophomore Bradley Nkosi placed fifth individually in the Men's 110M Hurdles in a time of 14.36.

Freshman Cody Sharp captured a seventh-place finish in the Men's Decathlon with 4,793 points.

Sharp also scored an eighth-place finish in the Men's Pole Vault at a height of 9'0.5".

The T-Birds will return to action on Friday, May 9, at the Ward Haylett Invitational at Kansas State University.
