Cloud County Men's Basketball Gets 107-83 Win Over Missouri State University - West Plains

The Cloud County Community College men's basketball team finished the Midwest JUCO Classic in West Burlington, Iowa, with a 107-83 win over Missouri State University - West Plains on Saturday, November 8. The T-Birds move to 3-1 overall while they eclipsed the 100-point scoring mark for the second time this season.

The T-Birds shot 60.9 percent from the field and 51.9 percent from three, connecting on 14 shots from behind the arc en route to the 24-point win. It marked the most made three-pointers for the T-Birds since hitting 16 in a 101-90 win at Dodge City Community College on November 23, 2024.

Cloud County also won the boards, 32-22, and had 19 assists while forcing Missouri State University - West Plains into 17 turnovers.

Five T-Birds were in double-digits. Freshman Al Brooks Jr. led the way with 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting. He also tacked on six rebounds. Redshirt freshman Manasseh Stackhouse dropped 19 points on 8-of-13 shooting from the field and 3-of-7 from deep to go with six rebounds. Sophomore Elidjah Savane netted 18 points on a nearly perfect 8-of-9 shooting effort. Savane also had four rebounds and two steals. Sophomore Kuel Akot came up with 15 points on 5-of-6 shooting from three-point range. Sophomore Syncere Burnette had 13 points with three treys and led the team with five assists.

Sophomore Samuel Akot and freshman Kaidan Chatham chipped in five points each. Freshman Kam Williams finished with four points, while freshmen Ikee Brooks and D'ontez Walker had two points apiece. Brooks also dished out three assists, while Walker recorded five rebounds.

The T-Birds will host their home opener on Wednesday, November 12, when they continue non-conference play against Kansas Wesleyan University JV. Tip-off is slated for 8 pm inside Arley Bryant Gymnasium.
