Cloud County Community College to Host Thunderbird All-Star Invitational This Weekend

Cloud County Community College will be hosting the Thunderbird All-Star Invitational on Sunday, April 14th at Arley Bryant Gymnasium on the college's Concordia campus.  The girls basketball game is slated to tip-off at 1 pm, with the boys game to follow at 2:30 pm.

Concordia High School Girls Basketball Coach Trey Kuhlman will coach one of the girls all-star teams.  Coach Kuhlman led the Lady Panthers to a 13-9 overall record in 2023-2024, its first winning season in seven years, and the program won a share of the 2024 North Central Kansas League title.

Joining Coach Kuhlman on his team will be Concordia Senior Carlie Carglren.  An Honorable Mention All-North Central Kansas League selection, Carlgren averaged 5.7 points, 4.7 rebounds, 1.6 steals and 1.3 assists per game during her senior year.

Clifton-Clyde High School Boys Basketball Coach Justin Steinbrock will serve as a coach for one of the boys all-star teams.  Coach Steinbrock led the Eagles to a 20-4 record and an appearance in the 2024 Kansas State High School Activities Association Class 1A - Division 1 State Basketball Tournament.

Coach Steinbrock's team will include Clifton-Clyde Seniors Coy Steinbrock, Drayden Reed and Trent Long, as well as Concordia High School Seniors Payton Breese, Joey Henderson and Jonathan Turner.
