2024 KJCCC Division 1 Women's Soccer Players of the Week - Week 2
COLBY, Kan. – Hutchinson Community College forward Haley Rogers and Dodge City Community College goalkeeper Ana Ramirez-Cortes have been named Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Women’s Soccer Players of the Week for week two of the 2024 season.
Haley Rogers – Rogers posted her first career hat trick and had nine points in two matches this week for the number 20-ranked Blue Dragons. In Hutchinson's 7-2 victory over Garden City, Rogers had a career-high seven points with three goals and an assist to pace HCC. She tallied a pair of impressive assists in Hutchinson’s 2-2 tie at Seward County. Rogers is tied for second in the KJCCC in goals scored through two weeks with four goals and 12 points.
Ana Ramirez-Cortes – Ramirez-Cortes helped the Conquistadors end a 12-match losing streak to Barton with a 2-2 tie against the number 17-ranked Cougars. Showing off strong play in goal by recording six saves against Barton, Ramirez-Cortes followed up the performance with seven saves against Kansas City Kansas in KJCCC action as part of a 1-0 defeat.
