2024 KJCCC Division 1 Volleyball Players of the Week - Week 6

COLBY, Kan. – Butler outside hitter Sarah Sullivan along with Pratt setter Rylie Hallman and defensive specialist Natalie Martinez have all earned their first Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference Division 1 Volleyball Player of the Week honors for their performances during week six of the 2024 volleyball season.

Offensive Player of the Week (Sarah Sullivan - Butler) – Sullivan helped the Grizzlies to a 2-1 finish on the week including a 3-1 win over Cloud County for the Grizzlies second straight conference win. On the week, Sullivan tallied 4.18 kills per set and hit .343. She also averaged 2.36 digs per set. In a 3-1 loss to MSU-West Plains, Sullivan slammed home a school-record-tying 21 kills on a .304 hitting percentage. She finished with 17 kills and nine digs in a 3-1 win over Cloud County.

Setter of the Week (Rylie Hallman - Pratt) – Pratt finished a historic week with two wins and ended a conference losing streak that dated back to 2020. In addition, the team defeated Seward County for the first time since 2015 and Cloud County for the first time since 2017. Hallman finished the week with a double-double in all three matches and totaled 106 assists and 38 digs. In addition, Hallman is 28th in the NJCAA in total assists this season with 427.

Defensive Player of the Week (Natalie Martinez - Pratt) – The Beavers finished a historic week with two wins and ended a conference losing streak that dated back to 2020. In addition, the team defeated Seward County for the first time since 2015 and Cloud County for the first time since 2017. Natalie had 68 digs across three matches this week including 27 digs against Cloud County. Martinez also had two service aces throughout the week as well.
