Janet D. Price

Janet D. Price, the daughter of Kenneth Lloyd Frint and Helen Marie (Morehead) Frint, was born December 25, 1943 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away April 24, 2025 in Belleville, Kansas at the age of 81.
Janet grew up and attended school in Belleville, graduating from Belleville High School. She then attended and graduated from Brown Mackie Business School in Salina, Kansas.
On March 3, 1963, she was united in marriage to Johnny B. Price and to this union was born, Shawn and Dawn. The couple lived in Salina, Kansas where she did secretarial work. They moved to Germany, where Mr. Price was stationed in the Air Force from 1963 until 1965, moving then to Marietta, Georgia.
In 1971, they moved to Fairbury, NE and in 1972 to Belleville, Kansas. Janet worked as a legal secretary for Percy Collins, and Swoyer-Simms Attorneys. She later worked at Wes’ Auto Supply, OK Tire, and the Port of Entry. She then moved to Wytheville, VA, where she was the office manager for the Pierson Reappraisal Company. Janet returned to Belleville in 1996 and worked as Deputy Appraiser for Cloud County until her retirement.
Janet was an active member of the Central Christian where she was treasurer, and very involved with Wednesday Night Live Youth. She also coached softball for several years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Helen Frint; Her husband Johnny B. Price in 1996; and one brother, Carl Frint.
Janet is survived by her children, Shawn (Ami) Price of Belleville, Kansas and Dawn (Michael) Wetzel of Hutchinson, Kansas; one sister, Diane Rhine of Belleville, KS; one brother, Gary (Peggy) Frint of Belleville, KS; 8 grandchildren, Madison Price, John Price, Haidyn Price, Derek (Holly) Ingalls, Kylee (Artur) Ingalls, Luke (Sierra) Ingalls, Ashlyn (Kaleigh) Wetzel, and Ian Wetzel; 3 great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Deanna Frint of Belleville, KS; brother-in-law and sister-in-law’s, Lee & Ann Price of Canton, Georgia; nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, May 1, 2025 at the Central Christian Church, Belleville, Kansas, with Pastor Nathaniel Foust, officiating.
Interment will follow at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, rural Belleville, Kansas.
Visitation and viewing will be from 1 PM until 7 PM Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS where the family will greet friends from 6 PM until 7 PM on Wednesday.
Memorials are suggested to the King Solomon Christian Camp and may be left at the funeral home.
