Safe Kids Cloud County Spreading Bicycle Safety Awareness This Month

Safe Kids Cloud County will host a Bike Rodeo in Concordia, a free event for all ages.

From 8:30 am to 10:30 am on Saturday, May 4th, kids are invited to bring their bicycles and scooters to learn safety, try some skill courses, and more at the Broadway Plaza.

Katie Kearn, Safe Kids Cloud County Coordinator, says bike helmets will be available while supplies last, as well as drawings, prizes, games and more.

Kearn says bike rodeo events will also be held later this month in Glasco and Aurora.

Based on the needs of the community, Safe Kids Cloud County implements evidence-based programs, such as car-seat checkups, community baby showers and bike rodeos, that help parents and caregivers prevent childhood injuries.
