MCHHS Achieves Gold Level Recognition for Fourth Trimester Initiative

Mitchell County Hospital Health Systems in Beloit has been awarded Gold Level Recognition for its exemplary work in the Fourth Trimester Initiative, a program partnership through the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) and the Kansas Perinatal Quality Collaborative (KPQC).  

This maternal quality improvement initiative is aimed at improving maternal health and reducing preventable deaths and complications across the state. 

This honor reflects MCHHS’s commitment to supporting new mothers and families through a holistic, evidence-based approach to postpartum care. The Fourth Trimester Initiative emphasizes the importance of care continuity, mental health support, breastfeeding guidance, and personalized follow-up during the critical months after delivery.
