Learn All About Scuba Diving at Belleville Public Library

Two people will be at the Belleville Public Library to introduce guests to the world of scuba diving.

On Thursday, June 23rd at 2 pm at the Belleville Public Library, Lance and Debra Rundus will introduce you to the world of diving.  You will learn about the science of diving, fresh water diving in Kansas, what it takes to be certified and what equipment will be needed to dive.

Author Kady Toole will be the presenter for the preschool storytime at 10:30 am.  Kady is the author of the "Izzy the Cowgirl Corgi" and her newest book, "Izzy the Super Corgi."  It's rumored that Izzy will be at the library, too.  Storytime is open to 3-5 year olds who have not been to kindergarten.  There will be stories and fun.

Kids can enroll in the 2022 Summer Reading Program by coming into the library and writing their name and grade on a chart.  Preschool through 5th grade students can earn prizes for reading the appropriate number of books for the grade level they just finished.  Teens will have their reading skills challenged by reading a book and receiving a scratch ticket for a prize.  Adults can join in the fun by picking up a monthly Bingo sheet along with a reading challenge for a drawing at the end of the summer.  Activity schedules and Bingo sheets can be picked up at the library.
