KDOT Announces Approved Bids for North Central Kansas

The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced approved bids for state highway construction and maintenance projects.  The letting took place July 20th in Topeka.  Some of the bids may include multiple projects that have been bundled based on proximity and type of work.

In North Central Kansas, APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division of Hutchinson received the bid for 12.4 miles of milling and overlay to US Highway 81, beginning 0.7 mile north of K-106 (southbound) north to the Ottawa/Cloud County line.  Total cost of the project is $5,294,791.04.

In Jewell County, APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division received the bid for 8.5 miles of milling and overlay to US Highway 36 from the Smith/Jewell County line east to the west K-128/US Highway 36 junction.  Total cost of the project is $3,232,188.37.

APAC-Kansas Inc. Shears Division also received the bid for 2.5 miles of overlay to K-112 in Jewell County from the US Highway 36/K-112 junction north to the south city limits of Esbon.  Total cost of the project is $644,457.00.
