Katelyn Bauer Named Winner of 6th Annual Fall Fest 4th Grade Button Contest

Concordia Elementary School 4th Grade student Katelyn Bauer, the daughter of Bradley and Jennifer Bauer, has been named the winner of the 6th Annual Fall Fest 4th Grade Button Contest.  Katelyn will be the Junior Grand Marshal for the 2024 Fall Fest Parade.

The Concordia Fall Fest Committee asked 4th Grade students at Concordia Elementary School to come up with the 2024 Fall Fest Button Design.  On Thursday, April 18th, Concordia Chamber of Commerce Director Annie Bergmann, Kindra Hollen, Fall Fest Button Committee Chair, and David Wiesner, Fall Fest Committee Social Media Chair, joined Elementary School Art Teacher Shawn Hood in recognizing Katelyn as this year's winner.

The Concordia Chamber of Commerce will host the 42nd Annual Fall Fest Parade on Saturday, September 28th at 10 am.

Grand marshal nominations are now being accepted.  The grand marshal will join Katelyn in leading the parade.  Previous grand marshals include Rod and Kathy Imhoff with Rod's Food Store in Concordia, and Concordia farmer and KNCK broadcaster Loren Swenson.

Bergmann says all nominations need to be submitted by noon on May 2nd to the Concordia Chamber of Commerce.  Nomination forms are available online at concordiakansaschamber.com.

The Concordia Fall Fest Committee has announced a theme for the 2024 Fall Fest Parade.  This year's theme will be "Concordia Come Grow With Us."  There is a $5 entry fee for the parade.  Parade entries will be judged prior to the parade and announced during the parade.  Parade float registration forms are also available online at concordiakansaschamber.com.

Fall Fest is a non-profit event that brings over 6,000 people into Concordia.  The aim of the Fall Fest Committee is to make this an event that all ages can enjoy and that attendees make plans to return.  This annual celebration is filled with a fun-packed weekend of events, booths, entertainment, and delicious food along the downtown area of Concordia.
