The Kansas National Guard to Support Memorial Day Events in Clifton and Ottawa County

Kansas National Guard Soldiers and Airmen will take part in a number of Memorial Day events and ceremonies across the state.

On Monday, May 29th, Staff Sgt. Luke Collins, 250th Forward Support Company, will be the guest speaker for a Memorial Day ceremony at Berner Memorial Park in Clifton.  The program, hosted by the Clifton American Legion Post, begins at 10 am.

Also on Monday, 1st Lt. Patrick Hill, 174th Field Feeding Platoon; Chief Warrant Officer 4 David Lockhart, 1st Battalion, 235th Regiment; Sgt. 1st Class Shaun Carter, 1st Battalion, 235th Regiment; and Staff Sgt. Matthew Vail, 995th Maintenance Company; will provide a color guard for three Memorial Day events in Ottawa County sponsored by Minneapolis VFW 3201.  The first is the Ada, Kansas Fairview Cemetery memorial ceremony, beginning at 9 am.  The second program is the Bennington Cemetery memorial ceremony, beginning at 9:45 am.  And the third event is the Highland Cemetery memorial ceremony in Minneapolis, beginning at 10:30 am.
