Concordia’s Phil Gilliland named 2025 Hospital Trustee of the Year by KHA

Phil Gilliland, Concordia, a hospital board trustee that serves on the boards for North Central Kansas Medical Center and Salina Regional Health Center, was selected as the 2025 Trustee of the Year at the Kansas Hospital Association Annual Convention and Trade Show Sept. 4-5 in Wichita. Gilliland was one of seven trustees from hospitals and health systems across Kansas that had been nominated for the award.

The selection was made by the KHA Board of Directors based on recommendations from a committee of KHA member CEOs and hospital trustees. In addition to recognition given during the KHA Awards Ceremony, the Cloud County Foundation for Health Care will receive a $500 donation in his honor.

“Phil’s leadership has been instrumental in the successful opening of North Central Kansas Medical Center in Concordia, and his advocacy for awareness of rural health care issues impacting the region has played an important role in Salina Regional Health Center’s growth and efforts to improve access to care for our patients,” said Joel Phelps, President and CEO at Salina Regional Health Center.

The Kansas Hospital Association is a voluntary, non-profit organization existing to be the leading advocate and resource for members. KHA membership includes 242 member facilities, of which 124 are are full-service, community hospitals. Founded in 1910, KHA’s vision is optimal health for Kansans and Kansas hospitals.
