Concordia Rotary Club Presents Carleen Nordell With Outstanding Leadership Award
On January 8, Pam Blochlinger, Concordia Rotary Club President, presented Carleen Nordell with an Outstanding Leadership Award for her service as Concordia Rotary Club President from 2022 to 2025.
Nordell joined the Rotary in January 2019. She is a representative for Cloud County Community College and she serves as the Club Public Image Chair (2020-present).
During Nordell's time as Club President, the club sponsored the Wall Mural at Hood Park, sponsored the Youth Entrepreneurship Challenge, donated new library books to Concordia Elementary School, provided scholarships to Concordia High School seniors, promoted vaccine awareness for Polio with Concordia Elementary School, and donated to CHS After Prom & After Graduation parties; Concordia Swim Team.
Nordell still serves on the Rotary Board as past President. Pam Blochlinger serves as the current Rotary President, taking over the duties on July 1 of 2025.
Rotary is an international membership organization made up of people who share a passion for and commitment to enhancing communities and improving lives across the world. Rotary clubs exist in almost every country and members work to change lives locally and connect with other clubs to work on international projects that address today’s most pressing challenges. Being a member is an opportunity to take action and make a difference, and it brings personal rewards and lifelong friendships in the process.

Individuals can also come to a meeting on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 12 PM at North Central Kansas Medical Center Basement Meeting Room, located at 115 W. College Drive in Concordia. Rotary Club is always looking for new members to get involved in the chapter.
