Students in the Concordia High School Art classes have a new glass ring saw, thanks to a donation from a member of the Concordia High School Class of 1978.

The contribution was made to the USD 333 Concordia Education Fund, a fund held at the Community Foundation for Cloud County.

Students in Concordia High School's Stained Glass Art classes learn creative techniques that have been used for thousands of years.  The practice of using stained glass to create pictures, or tell a story, has been around for centuries.  CHS students have been fortunate for many years to learn this historic artform, however, after years of use, the equipment used in creating stained glass became worn.

The ring saw has a round diamond wire blade that can cut any direction, creating cuts for all designs with ease.  The ring saw is quiet, smooth, and easy-to-operate.

The USD 333 Concordia Education Fund, a qualified section 501(c)(3) organization, was created in October 2022 to help Concordia schools meet its mission.  Kim Muff, Concordia Education Fund Director, says all gifts to this fund are tax-deductible.
