Cloud County Food Bank Launches Three New Pantry Programs

The Cloud County Food Bank in Concordia serves between 1,500 to 1,800 people a year.  Households are eligible to receive products from the food bank once a month and must meet basic income guidelines, live inside Cloud County, and bring proof of identification, address and income.

Recently, the Cloud County Resource Center, operators of the Cloud County Food Bank, have introduced three new services.

Tonya Merrill, Executive Director of the Cloud County Resource Center, says the first is their homeless pantry.  Once every two weeks, individuals may come and receive shelf stable food items, bottles of water, hygiene items and other necessities.

The Cloud County Resource Center also has a new hygiene pantry.  Once a month, residents of Cloud County may come to the Resource Center and pick up shampoo, conditioner, body wash, toilet paper, paper towels, adult diapers, bed pads, feminine hygiene products, tooth paste, shaving supplies and deodorant.

Lastly, the Cloud County Resource Center has also introduced an infant care pantry.  Once a month,, parents can get diapers, wipes, baby food, baby formula and other supplies for the care of babies.

The Cloud County Resource Center is located at 107 W. 7th Street in Concordia.  Their hours of operation are 8 am to 5 pm Monday, Wednesday and Friday, and 1 pm to 5 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
