Cloud County Community College has announced the waiver of all fees for dual credit courses in an effort to make college affordable for more high school students beginning in the fall 2024 semester.

“We’re waiving the fees this year to provide access to more high school students who are interested in dual credit courses,” said Cloud County President Amber Knoettgen.  “Cost can be a barrier for many families, and this will save them $47 a credit hour, which is a savings of $141 per three-credit hour course.”

The fee waiver is for in-person classes only.  High school sophomores, juniors and seniors may enroll in college-level classes and start earning college credits.  These courses are offered at area high schools for both high school and college credit.  Many of Cloud County’s courses are also offered online, as well as face-to-face on the college campus.

“One of our guiding values is accessibility, and our mission as a community college is to have a positive impact on the communities we serve,” Knoettgen said.
