Cloud County Community College Bands Presenting Fall Concert Monday Night

Cloud County Community College’s Music Department will present a fall Band Concert on Monday, November 20th.  The concert, which is free, will be at 7 pm in Cook Theatre on the Concordia campus.

The concert will feature the Cloud Kicks Jazz Band and the North Central Kansas Community Concert Band.

The Cloud Kicks Jazz Band is an auditioned ensemble open to both college and community members. Chris Langsford, instructor in music at Cloud County, is the band’s director.  The NCK Community Concert Band is a non-auditioned, community ensemble that features primarily traditional wind and concert band repertoire. It is under the direction of Renata Knox.

The Jazz Band will perform several selections, including Java Samba, Get Lost, Soft and Easy, and Pass the Hot Sauce.  The Concert Band will perform Havoc, Golondrina, Of Lochs and Thistles, and A Christmas Carol, which will feature Kenny Johnston as narrator.
