Clay County Medical Center Welcomes Mindy Lovendahl, FNP-C
Clay County Medical Center is pleased to welcome Mindy Lovendahl, FNP-C to the team. Mindy has been a primary care medical provider for 11 years at COMCARE in Salina, Kansas. Originally raised in Clay Center, she has moved back to the community with her husband Jason. They have two sons, Jakob (23) and Jaxon (18). Mindy said she is looking forward to caring for her “home” community, along with being closer to family.
After receiving her LPN from North Central Kansas Technical College, Mindy completed her RN degree at Cloud County Community College. She then attended Tabor College in Wichita to complete her BSN, and continued on to pursue her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from Fort Hays State University. Mindy is expected to officially join the CCMC team in June, which also marks her 12th year as a Nurse Practitioner.
When asked what motivated her to enter the nursing field, Mindy said, “My grandmother was a nurse and my inspiration in becoming a nurse. After working as a nurse for about seven years, I really wanted to be able to be more involved in patient care and take a more collaborative approach while staying in the nursing field. Becoming a nurse practitioner turned this goal into a reality. I have been in the nursing field now for almost 25 years and I love every minute of it.”
If you haven't had the pleasure of meeting Mindy yet, CCMC encourages you to schedule an appointment at your earliest convenience.
