Clay County Medical Center Issues Statement Regarding Spam Phone Calls
Clay County Medical Center has been made aware of multiple reports from community members who have received suspicious phone calls that appear to originate from our main phone number. At this time, we believe our caller ID information may be being "spoofed," a common scam in which scammers manipulate the caller ID to make it appear as though they are calling from a trusted organization.
CCMC is actively investigating these reports. We encourage anyone who receives an unexpected call claiming to be from Clay County Medical Center to use caution, especially if the caller requests personal, financial, or insurance information.
If you are uncertain whether a call is legitimate, hang up and contact Clay County Medical Center directly using the phone number listed on our official website or on your billing or appointment information. Do not rely on the caller ID if you have concerns.
We appreciate our community members who have reported these calls and encourage anyone who believes they have received a suspicious call appearing to come from CCMC to contact us directly.
The safety and privacy of our patients remain a top priority, and we will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as needed.
