Busy Week for Concordia Police: Traffic Incidents, Arrests and Gas Leak Response Assistance

On Monday, Jan. 27,
At 3:36 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Cedar and East Seventh streets for a report of a non-injury accident.
At 4:02 p.m., officers responded to the 1300 block of Spruce Street for a welfare check.
On Tuesday, Jan. 28,
At 9:36 a.m., officers responded to the 900 block of West 11th Street for a report of threatening phone calls.
At 5:18 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of West Third Street for a civil standby.
At 6:03 p.m., officers were at the 100 block of East College Drive when they noticed a male individual with a warrant. Dustin Crane was arrested and booked into Cloud County Corrections on his Cloud County warrant for theft.
At 6:32 p.m., officers responded to the 1100 block of East Seventh Street for a welfare check.
On Wednesday, Jan. 29,
At 9:25 a.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Lincoln Street for a report of a non-injury accident.
At 11:32 a.m., officers responded to the 1600 block of Lincoln Street for a report of a theft. Upon investigation, Riley Westgate of Concordia, KS, was cited for theft.
On Thursday, Jan. 30,
At 9 a.m., officers responded to the 700 block of East Eighth Street for a theft report. Charges have been forwarded to the Cloud County Attorney.
At 10:54 a.m., officers talked to a citizen at the Police Department in regard to an online scam.
At 12:04 p.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East College Drive for a report of a non-injury accident.
At 12:57 p.m., officers took a report of criminal threat at the Police Department.
At 5:40 p.m., officers located a male named Brock Crump of Concordia, KS. Officers knew that Crump had an active warrant out of Cloud County for failure to appear, original charge: possession of stimulants. Crump was arrested and booked Cloud County Corrections on his Cloud County Warrant.
At 10:18 p.m., officers responded to the 500 block of East 17th Street for a report of criminal threat.
On Friday, Jan. 31,
At 9:36 a.m., officers responded to the 100 block of East College Drive for a report of a non-injury accident.
At 11:45 a.m., officers assisted Concordia Fire Department in traffic control and evacuation of surrounding buildings, due to a gas leak. Once the gas company shut off the gas, the Fire Chief cleared the scene.
At 2:14 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Campus Drive for a report of marijuana. After investigation, Tyler Elliot of Lenexa, Kansas, was cited and released for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 3:55 p.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Lincoln Street for a civil standby.
At 6:16 p.m., officers along with Concordia Fire Department responded to the 2200 block of Campus Drive for a smoke investigation.
On Saturday, Feb. 1,
At 12:51 p.m., officers responded to the 400 block of West 14th Street for a report of trespassing.
At 2:10 p.m., officers responded to the 2200 block of Campus Drive for a civil standby.
At 2:49 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Doster Street for a report of an argument. After investigation, both parties denied the argument getting physical, no charges were filed.
At 4:46 p.m., officers responded to the 700 block of Kansas Street for criminal damage to property. After investigation, no case number was needed.
At 8:40 p.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at the 100 block of East College Drive. During the traffic stop, officers noticed the driver, Marcellous Dyke of Concordia, KS, was driving under the influence. Dyke was arrested and booked into Cloid County Corrections where he was charges with driving under the influence (DUI) and driving while suspended.

At 4:40 a.m., officers responded to the 1400 block of Lincoln Street for a civil standby.
