18-Year-Old Alisha Waite to Compete for 2022 NCK Saddle Club Rodeo Queen

The 69th Annual NCK Saddle Club Rodeo will be held Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th at 7:30 pm each night at the NCK Saddle Club Arena at the Cloud County Fairgrounds in Concordia, in conjunction with the annual Cloud County Fair.

The 2022 NCK Saddle Club Rodeo Queen contestants have advanced tickets available to purchase now through July 7th.  This year, three girls are competing for the crown: Alisha Waite, Emma Brungardt, and Laney Thomas.

Waite, an 18-year old senior at Clay Center High School, told us about her decision to compete for this year's title.

The yearly contest is open to girls between the ages of 14 and 21.

Waite told KNCK News she loves being a part of rodeo and being able to ride her horse.

At this year's NCK Saddle Club Rodeo, Waite is most excited to run flags during their ceremonies.
