River Valley Extension District to Host Mulching Workshop in Clay Center on June 6

Are you looking for a new way to freshen up your landscape without having to replant your flowerbeds? Come join River Valley Horticulture Agent Kelsey Hatesohl as she shares the benefits of mulching. Mulching is an important gardening practice that offers many benefits to the soil as well as your plants. Mulch is great at stopping unwanted weeds in your landscape, conserving moisture in the soil, and increasing the aesthetic value of your home. We will also be talking about the correct ways to mulch your landscapes to avoid damaging your plants.
This workshop will be held on Tuesday, June 6 at 5:30 pm. This workshop is free to the public and all are welcome to attend. It will be held at the 4-H Building on the Clay County Fairgrounds, 205 S 12th Street, Clay Center, KS 67432. Participants are asked to RSVP by June 5 to the Washington Extension Office at (785) 325-2121 or by emailing Kelsey Hatesohl at khatesohl@ksu.edu.
