“Managing the Herd Following a Drought Year” Producers Meeting in Washington on Dec. 15
Make plans to join Kaitlyn Hildebrand, River Valley Extension District Livestock Agent, for the “Managing the Herd Following a Drought Year” producers meeting on Thursday, December 15th, 2022, at 6:00 pm. The event will be held at KSDS Assistance Dogs, Inc. located at 702 D St. in Washington, Kansas.
You will hear from K-State Veterinarian, Gregg Hanzlicek, as he discusses health concerns that will affect spring calving cows as we near spring calving time and how to recognize those concerns. He will also talk about what to be on the lookout for in fall calving cows as we move into the winter months and into the spring after a drought year. K-State Research and Extension welcomes a new cow-calf specialist, Dr. Jason Warner, who will be joining us to cover cow-calf nutrition and forage recommendations for spring and fall calving cows after a drought and to prepare for the future.
A meal will be provided at no extra cost and is sponsored by Kansas State University Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory.
Please RSVP by December 9th to the Concordia office by calling 785-243-8185 or emailing Kaitlyn at firstname.lastname@example.org
