The Brown Grand Opera House, Inc. is wrapping up its 2021-2022 season with the Brown Grand Block Party on Saturday, May 28th from 12pm-9pm. Everyone is invited to come and join us in the West Parking Lot at the Brown Grand Theatre (310 W. 6th Street, Concordia, KS) for an outdoor event you won’t want to miss – don’t forget to bring your own lawn chair to sit in as you enjoy the afternoon.

The Block Party will feature a variety of activities. The mainstage will include three live bands – Monkey Business, The Box Turtles, and Derek Calvin and the All Nighters. Cloud County Community College will host a Cornhole tournament for teams to compete. There will also be giant Jenga and a community mural for everyone to participate in.

In addition to being a great day for supporting the Brown Grand, it is also World Hunger Awareness Day. The Brown Grand is teaming up with the Cloud County Resource Center to help bring awareness to community members about world hunger and it’s affects. We will also be creating a community mural to be displayed at the Cloud County Resource Center. Community members will create thumbprint hearts to symbolize their support and to show they want to make a change.

Throughout the afternoon, there will be delicious food being sold from the Paradise Eats food truck and a beer garden ran by Easy G Sports Grill.

Tickets will be available at the entrance of the West Parking Lot. Admission is $10 per person or $5 per person if you bring two cans of food/dry goods. Children five and under are free. We would like to encourage audience members to bring food donations, so we can assist as many people in need as possible.

We can’t wait to see you there! In case of inclement weather, we will move everything inside of the Theatre. For more information, please visit:
