Aurora Cooperative’s Summit and Annual Meeting will take place February 8-9, 2023 at the Pinnacle Bank Expo Center in Grand Island, NE.

Each year Aurora Cooperative hosts a Summit and Annual Meeting for its owner-members.  This includes a full line up of speakers on leadership, agricultural markets and economics, how agriculture impacts the world, the future of cooperatives and more.  Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in a tradeshow where each division within Aurora Cooperative will showcase their products, services, and the latest technology to aid in our grower’s operation.  This year’s Summit is focusing on the increased use of technology in increasing on-farm yield, the importance of cooperatives in the owner-member’s agricultural operation and the positive impact cooperatives have on communities.

The Summit is boasting an amazing line up of speakers on February 8th.  Kim Reynolds, Member Services Representative is excited to announce the morning Keynote speaker, Former Green Beret Commander, Mark Nutsch. Nutsch, portrayed in the Movie 12 Strong and author of New York Times Best-Seller, Horse Soldiers, will share the true-life story of helping lead what is considered the most successful unconventional warfare campaign in modern history, changing the course of our country and the world. Reynolds explains, “Coupled with his military experience, Mark grew up on a farm in rural Kansas. He is going to be very relatable to producers with characteristics such as determination, resilience, and persistence, all which producers need to be successful in their everyday operation.”  The afternoon session will kick off with John Cook, University of Nebraska’s Head Volleyball Coach.  Coach Cook has been extremely successful throughout his coaching career.  “Leading a nationally recognized Division I team has its ups and downs which can be mentally and physically challenging,” said Reynolds. “Our producers deal with extreme weather, volatile markets, and increasing input costs which carry the same mental and physical challenges,” added Reynolds. “Coach Cook will share his strategy for overcoming the mental and physical game.”

Other notable speakers throughout the day will include, U.S. Ambassador Kip Tom, lead analyst and senior economist of CoBank’s Knowledge Exchange Division, Ken Zuckerberg and Mark Zinder, a leading trend forecaster.
